Dr. Norman joined TN Brain and Spine in July 2011. He is a native of Seymour, Tennessee and is committed to being a leading provider of neurosurgical care by bringing advanced technologies and the latest treatments to our communities so you can always get excellent care close to home.
Dr. Norman performs surgeries at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Norman is supported by certified nurses highly trained to deal with the complex problems of a neurosurgical patient.
Carrie joined TN Brain and Spine as a nurse practitioner in 2011 . She received her master’s certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner from the University of Tennessee in May of 2011. Her bachelor of science in nursing in May 2007 and her bachelor of science in nutrition in December of 2003. Carrie worked in the cardiac intensive care unit at Cape Cod Hospital in Massachusettes when she first graduated nursing school. She moved to Knoxville, TN and worked as a nurse in the emergency department at UT Medical Center until she joined our practice. Her duties at TN Brain and Spine include evaluation of new patients, post op hospital care and post op office follow up.
Away from work Carrie enjoys spending time with her husband Chip and her family.
Carol joined Dr. Reid as a nurse practitioner in October 2008 and made the move to TN Brain and Spine, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center, with both Dr. Reid and Dr. Norman in January 2013. She received her master’s certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner, from the American Nurses Credentialing Center, in January of 1996. Her Master of Science in Nursing was received in December 1995, and her bachelor of science in nursing was received in 1986, both from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Carol has worked in different aspects of surgical care for over 15 years. Her duties at TN Brain and Spine include assisting both physicians in surgery and patient care in the office.
Away from the hospital, Carol enjoys spending time with her husband Rick and their daughter Olivia.
