Improvement in lumbar laminectomy outcomes using minimally invasive techniques

Traditionally, lumbar laminectomy for spinal stenosis has required lengthy, muscle splitting incisions resulting in significant blood loss and prolonged back pain with delayed return to normal daily living.
New minimally invasive techniques make it possible to perform these procedures in an outpatient setting. Blood loss and post operative pain are greatly reduced providing a much shorter recovery time.
